room, complete with ceiling fan and deep, comfy chairs. From here, an open plan kitchen/dining area combines to deliver a mixture of cool sophistication complimented by enough high tech gadgetry to satisfy even the most discerning of cooks!

Away from the hubbub, the lounge is a haven of calm and tranquillity, punctuated by subtle lighting and the gentle waft of a ceiling fan. Enclosing the lounge are 3 double doors flowing out onto the piazza. You can thus create cosy and intimate or cool and breezy depending on you’re mood. And, speaking of mood, an i-pod docking station and a CD player are provided for your pleasure as is a flat screen TV, complete with satellite channels and DVD player.

For those of you that need to remain in touch with the outside world, there is a telephone (local calls are free but international will be charged) and there is a broadband connection although you have to supply your own computer.

Up a short flight of stairs are the 3 en-suite double bedrooms, all with air-conditioners and ceiling fans. The large master bedroom, with its own balcony, has particularly spectacular views of the entire Island and its coastline making waking up an unforgettable experience! Along the corridor are two further double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles that can be made into a comfy double if required.

Large integrated cupboards are built into each bedroom to minimise clutter and, once ensconced in bed after a full day of sun, downy pillows and the soft singing of the Caribbean dusk will facilitate getting that holiday novel finished!

Our housekeeper will not only take care of general house cleanliness and washing but will also buy whatever food you require plus cook a variety of delicious local Creole dishes to suit all tastes.

All linen is provided as are bath and swimming towels and, if you run out of fresh clothing, a washing machine is at your disposal along with plenty of long sunny days to dry things out.

Remember that the electricity supply is 220 volts, 50 cycles with UK-style 3-pin plugs. North American appliances will require a plug adaptor and you will need a

portable transformer to step down the voltage to 110 volts (one is provided in the Villa).

In addition to the pool deck and terracotta courtyard, there is a half acre of garden space to the front and rear of the property to explore. Indigenous coconut palms, bougainvillea and almond trees abound and, for the eagle eyed, there are orange, lime and grapefruit trees dotted around the garden from which you are welcome to help yourself.

Just 20 minutes from George F.L Charles Airport lies Villa Pepperpoint, situated on a hillside in the Cap Estate, the northern most tip or “Cap” of St Lucia. On approaching the villa through electric, remote control gates, it will be immediately evident that this extremely secure property is set well back from the road, ensuring complete privacy.

Access to the villa is afforded by either a sweeping staircase into the lounge or up discreet steps on to the terracotta piazza and decked swimming pool area. A small pagoda shaded dining area affords wonderful views over the Atlantic whilst a second, larger parasol covered dining area on the patio gives uninterrupted views of the Caribbean and Pigeon Island. Central to the outdoor area is a barbecue and a palm fringed 10m rectangular swimming pool with sun-loungers – quite simply irresistible!

Off the pool deck, double doors lead to an informal morning gtgtg
